Action Water is a unique, innovative charity working on a shoestring. Nevertheless during the last 23 years Action Water has helped well over two and a half million people gain access to safe drinking water and regain a degree of independence.

Being small ourselves we feel a natural empathy with other small organizations working with limited finances and are often to be found working in areas which have been completely overlooked by larger organizations, delivering aid right where it is needed; straight into the hearts of impoverished communities. Action Water considers safe drinking water and adequate sanitation to be a basic human right.

We are a no-frills organisation. We do not expend donor-money in advertising or in mass mail-shots. If you decide to support us (and request it) we will be happy to send you two or three "Updates" per year, so you can see just how well your money has been spent. We certainly do not pester our supporters or disclose personal details to third parties.
